So, All of My Purple Life was too purple for you too?

I debated buying AMPL from the MAC Bloggers' Obsessions Collection.  Not because I don't love Afrobella, who's an absolute sweetheart but because I wasn't sure it would work for me.  Pure purple is not one of those colors I can rock.  But I bought into the hype and I bought the lip glass and I was right...way too purple.  Does that mean I won't wear it.  Nah, I just have to work it.  Here's some ideas:

(ooh a bit too loud for me.)

(I felt the lipstick was a bit too red.  There's barely a hint of purple.)

(Nikkia from Silver Lips Beauty recommended a liner in a deep burgundy or purple.  I actually like this.)

(Reminds me of the first combo but in real life its not as bright.  Its more wearable for me.)

I hope this gave you some ideas of how to make All of My Purple Life work for you.  I think this color may work better for me when I'm not so tan.

P.S.  As I was writing this Stephanie recommended Currant and Nightmoth which are the same colors Nikkia recommended over at Specktra so I guess I better go look for them.
